The Michigan Lutheran Seminary Foundation’s
2026 Easter Letter
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he gave us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead”
1 Peter 1:3 (EHV)
Dear Friends,
As spring returns and we approach the celebration of Easter, we are reminded of the greatest gift ever given. Through his resurrection, Christ assures us that death is not the end, but the doorway to eternal life. Because of that promise, we live with hope—not only for today, but for generations yet to come.
At Michigan Lutheran Seminary, that same spirit of hope shapes their mission every day. Through your support, young men and women are prepared to serve Jesus as pastors, teachers, and Christian leaders. Your generosity ensures that this important work continues.
This Easter season, we invite you to consider two meaningful ways to support the mission of the MLS Foundation.
A Gift to the Foundation’s Greatest Need
Unrestricted gifts allow the Foundation to respond where support is needed most. These gifts help sustain programs, support students, and strengthen the long-term mission. When donors entrust us with gifts for the greatest need, they allow us to faithfully meet today’s opportunities while preparing for tomorrow.
Estate Gifts: A Legacy of Faith for Future Servants of Christ
Another powerful way to support Michigan Lutheran Seminary Foundation is through a gift in your estate plans. A bequest in a will or trust, a beneficiary designation, or other planned gift allows you to continue supporting MLS far into the future.
Those who let us know they have included Michigan Lutheran Seminary or the MLS Foundation in their estate plans are welcomed into the Eberhardt Society. This society recognizes individuals and families whose legacy will help ensure that the mission of Michigan Lutheran Seminary continues for generations of students yet to come. Membership carries no minimum gift amount—only a commitment to the future of Christian education and ministry.
Estate gifts often allow donors to make a far greater impact than might otherwise be possible during their lifetime. They are a lasting testimony of faith and a powerful way to support the training of future church workers.
One Gift. Generations of Impact.
Thoughtful planning can create a legacy that continues to share the gospel for years to come.
As we reflect on Christ’s victory over the grave this Easter, we are reminded that the work done in his name has eternal impact. Your partnership with the MLS Foundation helps share that hope with each new generation of students.
Thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement, and generosity.
If you would like more information about making a gift, including how to include the Michigan Lutheran Seminary Foundation in your estate plans or to notify us of an existing planned gift, I would be honored to speak with you.
May the joy and promise of Easter fill your hearts with peace. Christ is risen!
With gratitude in Christ,
