Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who we share your data with
In our efforts to support Michigan Lutheran Seminary, a preparatory school in the ministerial education system of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), the MLS Foundation may receive requests to share limited information about donors and prospects with the Office of the Ministry of Christian Giving (MCG) of WELS or Michigan Lutheran Seminary. Such information would be protected by the privacy policy of the respective agencies.
Information on our mailing list or donor giving records are given only to employees who need such information to perform their assigned duties for the MLS Foundation. Information may also be given on a limited basis to agencies that prepare mailings on our behalf or analyze our data for the purpose of a financial audit.
To publicly recognize and thank donors for their generosity, the MLS Foundation may occasionally publish a list of donors. In such cases, other organizations and third parties would have access to a list of names only.
If you prefer that any/all of your information be kept anonymous, please use the form located at this link and return it to the MLS Foundation. We will handle your information in accordance with your wishes as indicated on the form.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
For donors who give to the MLS Foundation, your information is retained in our electronic database indefinitely. This is so that we may send you receipts for tax purposes and send occasional appeals and updates.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
If you prefer that any/all of your information be kept anonymous, please use the form located at this link and return it to the MLS Foundation. We will handle your information in accordance with your wishes as indicated on the form.
