More About Us

A Message from the Foundation President

We praise the Lord that he has continued to bless the efforts of the Foundation and we thank Him for the continued blessing of being able to work with all of you! Due to your continued support, we are able to provide many services to MLS such as the Homecoming Tailgate Party, the Cardinal Classic Golf Outing, the Dinner & Auction and the Cardinal Spirit award. Also, the Foundation provides support for operations and equipment for MLS and provides funding for MLS student assistance and MLC scholarships! The Foundation has designated $100,000 in annual student assistance funds to MLS and would like to raise that much annually to meet that need.

We continued to purchase properties across Hardin St from MLS for the potential future use of MLS and now have acquired a block of six properties! We are continuing to retire the debt from the Big Backyard project and look forward to the next project.

In addition the Foundation provided grants for a press box sound system, basketball shooting machine, science packs, track tent, training fan bike and a morale boosting ski trip for the students!

We look forward to being able to continue to work with you to support the mission of MLS!

A Message from the Donor Relations Director

Thank you again for your generous support! I cannot say that enough! We wouldn’t be able to fulfill our mission of supporting Michigan Lutheran Seminary without your gifts. We can set the goals, establish the budget, make a plan, but without the generosity of God’s people, very little would be accomplished.

There are so many charitable organizations to support, so every gift we receive is a tremendous blessing! We are so grateful and appreciative because we understand you have choices on where you direct your gifts. That is why we thank God for you! Your gifts give us confidence in the goals and plans we make every year.

We continue to focus our efforts on helping students of MLS and their families. Over the years our donors have helped provide support in many areas as you will see throughout the annual report. We pray that God will continue to bless the efforts and the work that the foundation provides. There is no doubt that when we ask for God’s guidance and wisdom, his plan will always work out in the end!
